Lord’s Equine Services Policy’s
I am a Freelancer:
Olivia Lord as Freelancer is an independent contractor, in business on their own account.
The parties agree that this Agreement and providing the Services do not make her an employee or worker of the Client and the Freelancer cannot hold themselves out as being either of these.
The Client does not directly control the Freelancer's actions. The Freelancer can provide the Services in the way they choose, except when this Agreement states otherwise
Cancellation Policy
Lord’s Equine Services Cancellation Policy is that I will let you know as early as possible if a service can not be carried out for any reason, this may include sickness. I will let you know a month priory if a date can not be done due to holiday or other commitment for regular bookings.
As the client you agree that the full amount of service will be paid if cancelled within 12 hours of the services taking place. If you cancel within 24 hours of the services taking place you will pay 50% off the cost. If you cancel before 24 hours there is no charge to yourself.
Payment
Invoices are either sent out weekly or monthly for regular clients and after the services this been completed for ad-hoc. Invoice will be paid in full 1 week after the day it is sent.
Weekly invoice run from Friday to Friday, Monthly Invoice work from the First and Last weekday within the month.
Am I covered by Insurance
Yes Lord’s Equine Services is covered by Insurance for both work with horse and all other pets.
As a Freelancer I will maintain insurance policies with reputable insurers providing for a level of cover and other terms of insurance which are acceptable to cover the provision of the Services.
The Freelancer shall comply with all terms and conditions of their insurance policies at all times. The Freelancer has Freelance Grooms Public Liability Insurance with BGA and Productivity for Pet Services
Animals Safety and Care
Lord’s Equine Services must know if your animal has any changes in behaviour, medication or routines. Medications and treatments need to be informed if new or ongoing, If Lord’s Equine Services needs to administer or perform treatment they must be clearly labelled and given clear written instructions.
When your animal is in Lord’s Equine care I have the right to act in the best interest of their welfare. This will include seeking veterinary advice if your animal becomes ill or injured. Lord’s Equine services will contact you immediately if your animal becomes ill or injured. In the instance the owner or/and yard manger can not be contacted in reasonable time. Lord’s Equine Services reserves the right to seek appropriate veterinary attention and proceed treatment regardless of cost. I will do everything that is needed for your animal regarding treatment, comfort and recovery.
Should the worst happen to your animals, and euthanasia is absolutely necessary (decided by the vet), if you or other contacts provided to Lord’s Equine Services cannot be reached, will accept and act upon the veterinary advice.
Riding and Exercising
Lord’s Equine Services has the right to stop exercising the horse if worried about the horse not being sound or if the situation where riding becomes to dangerous the session will be stopped. If this happens the owner will be notified. All tack and equipment will be checked before and after if there is any damage the owner will be notified.
Coaching
Olivia Lord offer coaching through riding schools or on personal horses. Olivia Lord can stop the lesson if the rider becomes abusive behaviour and if she doesn’t think the horse is sound or right for the lesson. If in Group lesson a horse and rider can be asked to leave if become dangerous and may cause harm to other riders. All lessons stop part way through still need to be pay in full.
If a rider fall of they have to complete a accident form before leaving the permissive.
Extra Contacts
It is strongly advised (but not required) that you provide a second and possibly even third person of contact in case of an emergency and you are unavailable. These people must be trustworthy and you believe that in the worst case scenario they will make the correct decision.
Social Media
You Give Permission unless stated otherwise that pictures and videos can be taken of your animals and put online via Lord’s Equine Services Social Media
Abusive Behaviour
If a client or anyone on the clients property becomes abusive physical or verbal, Olivia Lord has the right to refuse services. Any behaviour not done by the client will be notified immediately. Olivia Lord still need to be played in full if the client becomes abusive and the services has to be cut short or refused.
